President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to revive a dismissed lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, according to SCOTUSblog and the Naples Daily News. The lawsuit alleges a racketeering conspiracy related to claims of Russia collusion during the 2016 presidential campaign, the Washington Examiner and NTD News reported. [1][8][10][11][12]

Law and Crime News reported that Trump urged Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and the court to take up the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act case to protect the presidency. Newser and NTD News both reported that the legal filing seeks to overturn lower court decisions that had previously dismissed the case against Clinton and other defendants. [9][11][12]

Trump served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021 and was elected as the 47th president. Clinton served as United States secretary of state from 2009 to 2013 and was the Democratic presidential nominee in the 2016 election, where she won the popular vote but lost to Trump in the Electoral College. [13][14]

In separate appearances over the same weekend, Clinton addressed Nebraska Democrats, stating that upcoming elections offer an opportunity to reverse Trump policies, according to the Nebraska Examiner. The Hill reported that Clinton also spoke about an event at the Obama library where she noted a moment shared with former President Barack Obama. [2][3]
